How the TAB Calcutta Works

The Calcutta is a high-stakes sweep where you can “own” a runner in the Caloundra Cup through a two-stage process:

Ticket Draw – Purchase a Calcutta ticket/s (or form a syndicate with your table) for a chance to be randomly assigned a horse in the nominated race.
Auction – All drawn horses are then auctioned, with 50 percent of the sale price going to the prize pool and 50 percent to the ticket holder. The final prize pool is split among first, second, and third place finishers.

Bid wisely—if your horse wins the Caloundra Cup, so do you.
