New Year’s Eve, Thursday 31 December 2026, at the Sunshine Coast Turf Club is back after years away, and it’s landing as a big one. Punters get a full card of Sunshine Coast racing with Flemington up on the big screens too, so the form guide stays busy from the first jump to the last. The front lawn fills early with the whole crew, and once the sun goes down The Avenue turns into the best dressed New Year’s Eve party on the Coast. From 1:30pm, settle into the Champagne Garden for a long lunch with a drink in hand and racing rolling past. A two course alternate drop keeps the table moving while the afternoon does its thing.

From 5:00pm, take your seat in the Atrium for a four course set menu as the sun goes down and New Year’s Eve gets going. Stay through the last race, the headline set from Dirty South (in The Avenue) and the countdown.
