How do I join as a member of Sunshine Coast Turf Club?

The Membership application process is quick and easy. There are three ways to join the Sunshine Coast Turf Club:

1. Online: Visit our Membership page.

2. Phone: Call us on 07 5491 6788.

3. In person: The Head Office of Sunshine Coast Turf Club is located at Corbould Park, 170 Pierce Avenue, Caloundra. Our business hours are Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5.00pm and Friday 8.30am to 4.00pm. For race meetings, please visit us at the Members Booth or Kiosk.

Do I require a current member as a proposer when applying?

No, The Sunshine Coast Turf Club operate a little differently to many race clubs throughout Australia. We do not ask for a proposer and welcome new Members join the SCTC racing community. Once your application and payment have been received, your application will be submitted to the Sunshine Coast Turf Club Board of Directors for approval.

I have purchased a membership what happens next?
Details of your Membership will be sent to the Club on the next business day.

Your 2021/2022 Membership will be available for collection at the SCTC gates from Sunday 1 August (or the next race meet thereafter)

Any Membership Cards not collected by Sunday 5 September will be posted.

Is there a dress code?
Yes, please be advised that patrons are required to adhere to the Members Dress Code when visiting the Members Enclosure & Atrium. The Club’s dress standards will be strictly enforced throughout the Racing Season. To avoid inconvenience, please familiarise yourself with the dress standards prior to the race meeting, to ensure your attire and that of your guests, is appropriate for the Members Enclosure. Notwithstanding the dress standards outlined, the Club reserves the right to refuse entry to any person. The dress standards can be viewed on our ‘What to Wear‘ page.
Can I purchase extra members tickets for guests?
MEMBERS DAY PASS
Yes, the SCTC offers Members Day Passes so people can trial Membership before they buy. The Passes are also perfect for guests to accompany Members for the day, if you have someone visiting or they are only likely to attend one race meeting during the Racing Season. If they attend the Racecourse a few times during the Racing Season, the best value for money is to join as a Member. Members Day Passes can be pre-purchased online under the relevant race meeting in the racing calendar or they can be purchased on the day at the Members Booth or Kiosk.

ANNUAL MEMBERS GUEST CARD
Not sure who to bring to the Races or prefer to bring a different person each meeting? You can purchase an annual Members Guest card for $140 which gives your guest of choice, access to the Members Enclosure for every race meeting. You can purchase your guest card with your Membership online or if you want to add a guest card to your current Membership call 07 5491 6788. Limit one per Full Member.

What happens if I have lost my membership card?
The loss or theft of Membership Cards must be reported to SCTC as soon as possible so unauthorised use can be prevented. If a Member fails to produce their Membership card to gain access on a race meeting, they will be refused access. If you have misplaced your card, you must contact the Club on 07 5491 6788, during office hours, to organise a replacement prior to the race meeting. Our business hours are Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5.00pm and Friday 8.30am to 4.00pm.
Can I lend my Member Pass to a friend or relative for the day?
No, Members are reminded that their Member Card is strictly non-transferable. Members Guest cards are the only cards that are transferable. Photo identification may be checked for each attendee when Members cards are scanned and must match. The lending of a Membership Card for use is a serious breach of Sunshine Coast Turf Club’s Constitution (8.3) and offenders will be refused entry for that race meeting and will be referred to the SCTC committee, which may impose a penalty.

Each Sunshine Coast Turf Club member agrees to abide by the Club rules at the time of purchasing a Membership application.

Can I bring food and drink into the members area?
The Sunshine Coast Turf Club is a licensed venue and operates its own food and beverage outlets on course. The Club does not allow food or beverages to be brought into the Racecourse. The venue reserves the right to check all bags upon entry & exit.
All birthday cakes are to be pre-arranged with the club prior to the race meeting.
What reciprocal rights do SCTC members receive?
The Sunshine Coast Turf Club has Reciprocal arrangements with significant International and Interstate Race Clubs. Reciprocal arrangements are available for both SCTC Members attending other Clubs and Members from other Clubs wishing to attend the Sunshine Coast Turf Club. When do I need to renew my membership?
The Sunshine Coast Turf Club Membership Racing Season runs from 1st August through until the 31st July. Renewal advice will be sent out prior to the renewal date.
